My sister and I grew up in the time of, "you don't come inside until dark", era. Where as a child you could run free with little to no worry. We spent A LOT of time outdoors building forts and exploring. Our love for traveling & camping started with our Mom. Tent camping was an affordable way to get away and we LOVED it. Everything from the campfire and roasting marshmallows to the smell of the outdoors. Spending time outdoors required us to be creative with our time, explore, and spend unforgettable family time. Our grandparents had land in Door County Wisconsin where the entire extended family would get together several times a year. We'd sit around the campfire while our uncles played the guitar & shared stories. The sense of community and togetherness you feel when everyone is in the same boat looking to only each other for entertainment is priceless. It was around age 11 I decided when I grew up I wanted to own a campground. I wanted those times in my life to continue forever. Life passed by with different priorities. We both were single moms with huge dreams (probably why we were single moms lol) but we worked different jobs to get by. At 27 I moved to Texas following my dreams of living by the ocean and started a vacation rental cleaning company on North Padre Island. Around the age of 30, my sister started her own business taking care of behaviorally challenged adults. In 2017 I moved to New Braunfels so my daughter could be near her dad's side of the family. I started building barndominiums & doing property management for someone else. Finally, at 38 & 40 we wanted to get back to our roots. Simpler times. Less hustle. More family time. That was it, we found a 3rd investor and were on the hunt for the perfect piece of property. In 2021 we found it. A near perfect 10 acre rectangle in Seguin away from the traffic mayhem on a nice quiet road near a gas station and Dollar General. Since then, we hit then the ground running only looking back to see how far we have come. Its been a long slow process as we still have 9-5 jobs/businesses to work around but we are getting there. Lots of sweat, some blood, and definitely some tears but it's all becoming worth it & we wouldn't have it any other way.
We are very excited to share our dreams with you and hope by staying with us you grow the sense of community and comradery we've experienced in our lives while camping & travelling. Come stay with us. Grow with us. We are here for you.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about us!
May your health stay good, your heart stay full, and your dreams come true.
Sincerely, Terri & Shawna
